Once and Always

Once and Always

A Poem by Jessica L Auster

Once a cheater,

Always a cheater.

Once a cheatee

Always a cheatee?

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to.

I was "caught in the moment",

And I couldn't stop myself.

My question is,

Will you ever find out?

Most likely not,

But I still like you no matter

what.

Yeah. This poem was small, but twisted. Good kind of added quark to the writing.

Well done.

nice spin :) Upon opening the poem I thought it was going to be a love poem and then I realized it was an apology laced with worry and you can see the guilt in there. It's another faction of being a woman that people seldom realize, men are always portrayed as cheaters but here we have a woman who cheated and is wondering if her man will find out. I like the spin. I just wonder about that meaning behind the last line but it adds a certain whimsy that I enjoyed. Well done.. also I love the picture you put with it.
