Only you

Only you

A Poem by Coyote Poetry
"

"

                             Only you

My sedated life was twisted backward by your gentle glances.

Your beautiful hazel eyes making me want to sing to you. A lullaby of love for you.

"Sweet Cecilia

Lulla, lulla, lullaby.
My dear Cecilia.
Those eyes make me wish to fall into your eyes forever.
Lulla, lulla, lullaby.
You make me want to be wild and careless.
I want to fall in the mystery and unknown of soft voice and wanting words."

"O so sweet, O so soft, O so sweet  she is"  Ben Jonson

You make me want to come alive and be fearless dear Cecilia.
You are as sweet as German Summer sweet wine and more tempting than the dancing sea.

Please my love.
Lead me to the utopia of love.
Quiet heart need to taste the sweetness of love.

" A quiet heart needs to taste the sweetness of love" What a wonderful thought eloquently expressed. We all have our visions of love. I'm reminded of the words of the apostle Paul, "For now we see through a glass; darkly, but then we shall know even as we are known." And isn't that what love is really about, finding someone who understands us better than we understand ourselves and allowing that love to define us and refine us, making us into the person we always wanted to be?

I loved the line " A lullaby of love for you." I think that was a great touch to your piece.

Thank you Lydia. I appreciate the comment. We need love near.
Such musical, beautiful words Coyote...this has a flow and rhythm that could easily be a song. Would love to hear guitar, violins behind this. Great use of repetition. The last line is stunning!

Summer wine.., so fully embodied... the warmth of hazel eyes when dawn emerges beyond the horizon of dreams. Beautiful passionate movements sequestered in sweet romance. truly, Pat

Soft and romantic and full of sentiment as always Coyote. Made me think of Simon and Garfunkel's 'Cecilia'

Thank you John. I will look up the song Cecilia.
Beautiful poem showing the love the poet has for this lover. You have perfectly brought out feelings and emotions that move a person when they read this.
