I adore you

I adore you

A Poem by Coyote Poetry
"

Just words

"

                          I adore you

Perfect beauty resting in my arms and I whispered a quiet prayer.
"I love your face.
I love hearing your sweet and gentle voice.
I love  when you laugh and when you cry.
You are a blessing to a man who needed kindness and love.
You are turbulent water and dangerous sea.
Dear Paloma.
You are my morning star and the shining moon on a clear night.
I shall love you forever and a day."

Beautiful Paloma turned to me and she whispered.
"Dear Poet.
You are my life giving blood.
You have saved me and I'm blessed to be able to look into your hazel eyes.
You taught me.
Love is life and life is love.
I was going to exiled life and give-up.
You wouldn't allow me to die.
You made me understand, we must endure pain to know sweetness.
We must know lost to know victory.
I'm the Poet's love and thankful."

Old poet hold his dear love closer and he whispered.
We must discard the past and celebrate the good days and nights.
Dear Paloma. You are my light and joy in the darkness of this world.

When someone does a thoughtful review on any of my pieces I always make a point to read a few of theirs and review at least one. With that said, thank you for reviewing mine because then I most likely wouldn't have come across this.

It's been awhile, I must admit, since I have read something of yours. I don't come on here too often these days. I must say your rhythm and flow has definitely improved and so has your imagery. Additionally, the conceit of the narrator is well defined and his language doesn't waver.

There are only minor things I would recommend and they're merely quick edits.

The line,
"I was going to exiled life and give-up"
if you are saying that Paloma is heading to the life of an exile then the language is then a bit off.

Perhaps a simple fix like,
"I was going into exiled life and give-up"

And then the following stanza I think you meant that the "Old poet held his dear love..." simple tense fix.

Anywho, thanks for giving me the motivation to seek out your work. It's been too long. Also, thanks for reminding about pairing music with poetry. It was quite refreshing.

Thanks again,
Kenn.

Thank you Augustus. I appreciate the comment.
Certainly seems more than 'just words'. A fine scene with finer description. Something to get lost into. Beautiful, as ever.

No worries
You share with the reader the depth of your ability to love and understand the heart and soul of another as you speak of yours!!
I especially like that you address your love by name; it makes it more personal! It sounds as if you still carry the love of your Paloma inside of you!
Beautiful......as always!!!

dear John: CNN is blaring in the background, a rally from Alabama.....Trump is ranting on and on about Hillary again. Today, white noise has turned the voices of authority into that mundane mumble that Kukla Fran and Ollie use to engage in when I was a child. Nothing mattered to them but the present tense....not the universal one of kindness or adulation. To adore is as close to
getting inside another person as you can imagine.
In fact, nothing is more tender and heartfelt.

nice poem my friend....dana

Deeply, profoundly tender and lyrical poem/song to a love, a muse, an angel whom you saved. You are a kind, strong, passionate, proud and giving man Coyote. These qualities come through in your poetic words. Beautiful!

Thank you Annette for reading and the comment. I do appreciate.
Sometimes as a man I feel it so hard to express my self in society, especially if it's in a positive light with positive feelings of love and joy. You certainly make it look easy and I learn how to be expressive by reading you. This poem is lovely and has such true emotion woven into it. Great write.
