Pray for peace

If we are silence, against hate and war. We accepted the hateful world.

If we allow the wars to be fought and we believe war is far away. One day, the wars shall find your doorstep.

We send our young men and women to fight the old men wars.  I wish we would send the old men to fight. If we did. War would end. Once a wise man told us. “A eye for  eye world, will leave us blind.” Maybe we are blind already?

It is 2020 and the world had fallen backward. Just like the past. Rumors, threats and ugly words, our leaders share. Where are the peacemakers? where are the kind voices? Where are the countries that give food, water and medicine instead of guns and soldiers to nations in trouble?.

I burn sage for peace, for healing and I pray we learn. Every life had value. I want the children of our world to believe war and hate was myth and tale. Allow the children to dance, sing and wander our world without boundaries. Knowing no fear. Never being hated because of their skin color, their belief and where they were born.

ONE Earth and ONE PEOPLE

I believe as you my friend, but I am skeptical if it will happen; peace seems to elude us as we wage one war after another. It has been happening for so long that I don't think we, as mankind, even know how to be peaceful, or if we ever did.
Your words stir my spirit and I can hope, and hope again that it might happen! We are ignorant if we just sit back and do nothing and with your words, you are doing something! We must speak out, as poets we have a duty to tell the story to others, to plead for help, to pray for war to go away!

Man was always the maker of his own downfall.
Bigger castles, more guns, more bombs.
I'm surprised we're still here at all.
Though I think mother nature who really knows a thing or two about mass destruction maybe just do the job for us.

Gee
I think they'll be more praying than peace. Man is proving himself to be
more dumb than can be believed.
God help those that follow us.
Wise words Coyote

We are the teachers. So is the eight year old kid who stops you from walking into traffic. The peacemakers are in the background, doing what they always do. Trying to save the world.
Also, kick back, and listen to music.

The things you can learn from a coyote:) (says the frightened bunny scurrying away) No one abhors war more than a old soldier but then for him it's too late but then he can scream from the mountain of the futility of war and maybe those screams might reach the ears of the masses so the greedy and selfish get stuffed back into their dead pocketbooks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you dear Kimmie. I worry for my world.
Everything we and our world should be is captured here.

I have often thought that if the first out of the trenches were the war makers themselves, then war would simply vanish from the face of the Earth. Can you imagine Assad, Rouhani, Erdogan, Trump, Putin; to name just a few of today's power hungry and callous world leaders, dressed in battle gear and facing the enemy in reality. Not a chance is there. All they would do is pee their pants and run for cover!

supposedly the bible indicates 200 years of peace before the end comes...we must not be anywhere near the end...because the hate just keeps growing...and as you say....the leaders just don't know when to shut up, they are all like schoolyard bullies...
