Like a river, we are.

Attempt at four line poetry.

One.

Just photos in a book,

just beautiful faces missed.

Just kind voices heard in my dreams now.

Beautiful hearts missed.

Two..

Swirl me in your mind,

my kind lover.

Make me believe,

Love is kind and forever.

Three...

Once I wanted everything.

I learn, I had everything I needed already.

We don't need to own everything.

The blessing of life are always near us.

Four....

I told her, just a nibble my sweetheart.

She laughed and she whispered.

You naughty boys request a nibble on my ear and my neck.

Making me feel free and reckless.

Five.....

Like a river we are.

We are seeking the sea, 

to hear the chorus of the music of the ocean.

Returning to where we belong.

I'm like you, when I do short poetry such as haiku, I can't stop with one. There's so much to be said, I seem to go on & on until I've done a cluster of five or more. I think five is a good sampling. Each of your poems has it's own unique flavor, yet as a whole, all join together with certain themes, like living & touching & communing in life (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

You are so right. So often we don't realize or appreciate what we have. The beauty that is before us, that has been with us for so long. Perhaps we've taken it for granted. Life, like the river, flows on endlessly and we must go with the flow and endure, hopefully with love.
I loved the lullaby as well.

It's always fascinating to see a writer try something different from the norml.. shows another side of spirit or perhaps a dormant need that wants escape. Think that might have happened for you, upped and flown back perhaps to someone special, ever etched in that spirit of yours. Different and oh so worthy. Take care, keep safe.

I will try again dear Coyote. My last review on here got lost in the ether. Thank you for these four short, four line poems. Each one with a message, each one uplifting. We do need to be reminded to count our blessings. There are many even as the days grow dark. We learn from your poetry and your poetry is a blessing to me and many. Thank you.

Ha...I have gone back and read the fifth one Coyote. I have to say it made a change that a poet removed their own work, rather than the site keeping us all out. We are indeed like a river. This morning my thoughts were of the sea calling. I have something in mind. Thank you for the addition of another gem.
