it is obvious to your readers that Basel had quite an impact on you John .. you speak of it/her often and your recollections of it/her are always crystal clear .. for me personally, reading you is like embarking upon a love affair .. tho familiar, it is also like finding and exploring a new and unexplored lover ... write on and always .. Switzerland is a beautiful country. The air is the purest I have breathed anywhere. No wonder you remember that place with such fondness and the love you found there. Your description of your lover is romantic perfection. A wonderful read Coyote.

” Love was luck and folly. The irony of love is we fall into her and forget to be kind to her. Few learn when they are young. Love kiss, love embrace and love near. A rare place for the few. We must make these days and nights last forever dear Johnnie. Forever is a terrible words. Can mean seconds or a thousand years.”

dear John... the warmth of Love when Snow covered Alps are within the view of dancing lovers subdued by Wine where peaceful places touch the ambrosia of a Kiss.

I have never traveled outside my humble setting of California, but reading your poem makes me wish I could visit Switzerland and discover the same beauty that captured your heart. Thank you for sharing this poem of love and the places it takes us to.
