Eat the rich

Eat the rich

A Poem by Coyote Poetry
"

Just loving the song. "Eat the rich".

"
                               Eat the rich

Come on baby, eat the rich. To make good soup, need those people with excess fat to make the broth more tasty. The one per cent made 3.7 trillion more profit. The lower class(They call us) people in the ninety-nine percent lost 3.9 trillion.

Some crazy lady told us." Eat babies." Please leave the babies alone. They did nothing wrong yet. They are eating dogs and cats in North Korea. Please leave the dogs and cats alone, we need them to protect us against the rich. But those people living in secure homes, eating like pigs. Giving 20 cent raises to workers and getting richer and richer. They could be a tasty treat for the people with less.

I live in a place. If you cross a intersection. One side, burn-down buildings, hungry people and homeless. The other side of the road. Million dollars houses, a police force, great schools and they don't see the poor. They are  eating their steak and laughing at the downfall of the people on the other side of the intersection.

I would recommend meat tenderizer for the old ones. Old people can be tough to chew. The rich millionaires in Washington D.C. gave the struggling USA 1,800 dollars this year. Just enough to survive a month in the messy and hard world. I would recommend eating politicians and lawyers first.

Come on baby, eat the rich. If we don't. They may eat us next.

This was important. This was a poem needed to be written - where has our society taken us ? We dazzle the wealthy with jewels and fancy plates … while millions struggle to get by in this brutal world. What have we become? This was powerful, beautiful, and shed light on America’s tragedy…
Thank you for this.

Lemmy from Motorhead was a character for sure.
Your suggestion is like Swift's "Modest Proposal" in reverse.
It's a dog eat dog world out there.

Lemmy was cool Laz and thank you for reading and the comment. i do appreciate.
This Country was made for the people...
Now the people we voted for are destroying our Country..
We need to show them what it feels like to be treated unfairly.
The current Administration has not protected our Borders.
When will they realize-- their lives will be in Danger.
Your poem is a "Wake-up" Call for everyone. We cannot be
like the Ostrich with our heads buried in the Sand. There should be a
Civilized way of handling this Injustice. The innocent babies and children
need to be protected. Amen

Such an inspiring and very amazingly written piece...guess it's as the old saying goes: The rich will always get richer as the poor get poorer...or however the saying goes :)! I really enjoyed reading this, so many great parts in this but yet so much to think about?? It's hard to imagine, for me at least what it would be like to be rich. Then again I wounder if the rich ever think of what it's like to be poor and not have money or enough resources to survive?? Such a great write Coyote!

The Coyote bares his teeth here and rightly so! For all the advancement we have accumulated in this day and age of human evolution, the rich are still getting richer than ever before and the poor are falling further behind. Even in my country, amidst the pandemic and the loss of jobs and incomes associated with lockdowns, the politicians still managed to find it in their greedy hearts to give themselves a pay rise. So, i agree wholeheartedly with your poem and your desire to eat the rich. Yet somehow I think they would be indigestible. You have written a great truth here, Coyote. Well written and said. 💛

Thank you dear Marina. Need extra tenderizer for real greedy ones my friend. A lot of spices.
It's one thing to come from old money;
they're few and far in between
but it's the politicians in DC
that irk me, lining their pockets with
ill-gotten gains becoming rich .if
we ate the rich we might get a bone
or a tidbit of trimmed pork but never
ever would we get to taste the
gravy; they keep it well hidden and
preserved in corruption for their own pleasures

Such an interesting write, John! But, there have always been the Have and Have Nots because Money is Power and that is the privilege of the connivers and thus - the survivors. Allow people to benefit from company profits and respect for what they provide and the (hate this phrase) the 'work-force' would reap benefits and pride. Treat people like mere foot soldiers and eventually they will battle for their rights. Money shouts, impresses but misleads in many cases. trying to reach the clouds is only OK if you can fly business class but if you need clamber til your knees bleed, that is damaging the status quo. The arguments as to what you eat, what your have, has always been, and will be.. until Man is adult enough to share. When do any of us think that will be? Drumming fingers on table.. well? - am waiting., ,, ,.

Truly written Coyote. The rich and the powerful surely get away easily with things whereas those lower in terms of money and resources have to struggle for the basics.
I also really liked the points you picked like not eating the dogs and cats, the temperament of the rich towards the problems of the poor and low pay in certain jobs and sections.
Nice work !

There are wealthy corporations out there paying no taxes. Governments have it in their power to do something about it., but don't. I stopped using Costa and Starbucks as a protest, used independent local places instead. There are some rich people who have donated huge sums of money for the benefit of others, and then there are greedy people who can only think about their life of luxury acquiring ever more material goods to show off their vast wealth. That sickens me. There's good and bad everywhere. I don't come across many good politicians. They sort of leave me with a bad taste in the mouth. Not easily digested. Let Coyote be Coyote.
