I am so damn tire, my friend.

I am so damn tire, my friend.

A Poem by Coyote Poetry
"

September poetry number twenty-two-

"
I am so damn tire.

I am trying..

Today I put a gun to my head tonight.
I am so damn tire.

Once I was brave,
now I know.
I masqueraded a man, fearless.

Death doesn't frighten me.
I have met death and she had kissed me.

I have betrayed all my dreams and now.
I am an old man, forgotten.

I know tonight.
We become, who we supposed to be.

I am so tired, and I feel like,
like a mouse running in circles.

Death don't scare me.
Being weak and useless, does.
I understand Hemingway now.

Maybe a slow death, I do not want.
Death will find us,
we shall welcome her or try to escape her.
You cannot not escape her.

I am tiring my friend.

You pen everything so well … a tricky subject that should not be ignored as many suffer from these thoughts of feeling tiresome of life …that’s as much a fact of life as life itself… I value
life and I value death …no matter the circumstances to which they were brought about… I have known ones who have suffered the torments of life after living through too much … hugs…

I understand Hemingway now…

Glad to read your authors note :)

Thanks so much for the author's note, C. You had me going there for a while. You have a point, though. Many do tire of life when the things they value most give way to change. Hemingway was a prime example. Perhaps he was valuing the wrong things.

always good writes from you.
subject matter, loneliness, depression, suicidal thoughts, such taboo subjects from societal standpoint
it is fact that cannot be ignored ... most if not all have at one time said to them self, 'i am tired, i don't want to do this anymore'
you are a brave soul embracing, putting to paper the utter failure that ALL have had.

(good to see the use of video as introduction! ... i am guilty!)

Thank you Sean for reading and the comment.
I was a tire once. But I can't remember if I was a Michelin radial or a Goodyear, steel belted. But that's where the rubber meets the road. Keep on trying and smile when you feel like crying.

Thank you Jacob. Sometimes the devil can be a beautiful lady or a pot hole in the road.
I think we are lying to ourselves if we haven't thought this way at least at some point in life. But once I met once a brilliant mind who told me I was in control of what I thought, that I didn't have to think this way.
I have never looked back since. Tomorrow is too big of curiosity.

This sent chills down my spine. For over three years now I've been working in the funeral business. Just being around death all the time, I'm not even 40 yet and your words resonates as similar thoughts of mine. I don't really sense suicidal underlines, for me, but more of a good grasp on the subject and a healthy fear of it. If you remember my works, I delved deep in the helplessness of it all. Today I find comfort in the grand design.. the Designer I'd say.. and I try to find comfort in my relationships..

I hear you Coyote. It's been awhile since I've dropped in and it's quite refreshing to see WC Originals still writing. Cheers my friend.

sentiment and honesty of the poem are refreshing Coyote. I guess some will read and worry about the darkness, hinting at suicide. For me, the poem has a bright light tucked inside as well, a voice of someone who is still here, fighting, who hasn't given in to the urges
