For a hero

For a hero

A Poem by Coyote Poetry
"

When you give your life for another. These people are the Angels waiting in heaven.

"

          Beautiful American

(For Rachel Corrie. A human shield protecting woman and children.)

Just a woman.

She gave her heart to people far from her home.

Stood in front of guns and machines to save lives.

Protecting innocent people from.

The War machine in the hidden parts of the world from the world's eye sight.

She stood in front of a building.

Was crushed and die by Israel machinery.

Her life was lost for woman/men.

Who call her the Beautiful American..

                Coyote

( Need to go to her site. Rachel  Corrie.
People like her are the real Angels in a life.
                They died for peace.)

Coyote Poetry
We can' t get blinded by hate. When the beaten dog because the abuser. Holding hate and death over another nation. Maybe the country need to look deeply at their goals. I pray for peace in the middle east. Rachel Corrie went with faith and love and die for strangers. She is a true hero we need to remember her and many more.

I get hung up on the punctuation. Those periods at the end of each line absolutely undermine the flow of the poem.

I want you to think about what a poem really is. Take this piece for example; if you took away the line breaks, it'd really just be a paragraph describing somebody.

A poem is like music. Several instruments (diction, syntax, punctuation, theme, imagery, motif) come together to form a pleasing rhythm. Does this have these instruments?

Everyone is distracted by the fact this is written about something that may incite strong emotions. But ultimately this is about the art of writing a poem, and it's something I think you need to focus on more attentively.

To get you started, focus on each word. Each letter, each punctuation mark. Ask yourself if that thing you're focusing on has any business in a good poem (The capitalized W in war, for example. Why? Are you trying to provoke something? Can't you think of a better way to do so than to simply call upon the cliche notion of a Big Brother-esque military-industrial complex? Imagery is a weapon; wield it.)

I don't care too much for this poem, but especially do not like the embeds. Why do you feel the need to post videos - if you want to write a poem, good share it here, let people read it. If you want to shoot off propaganda try elsewhere.

this is an excellent poem portraying how humanity still does exist today. We just have to look for it. the poem flows easily and this is a great poem recognizing someone who gave their life for others.

This is a significant work because it's about a human being trying to make a little difference in the world. I loved the simplicity in your words, but then again the fact that you're giving us also a bigger picture on the whole issue.

It's good when people do things to wake us up and shake us up, she certainly made a difference.

I think you did a really excellent job with this poem. It was a beautiful poem that had a lot of heart and a strong message. Knowing that someone like her existed gives me a little more faith in human beings. I'm going to check out the site now, thank you for sharing this poem. It means a lot.
