Star Explorer

Star Explorer

A Poem by Johnny Mike
"

Here's a poem I wrote in middle school, I found it deep in the dungeons of my documents.

"

Stars upon stars

Gazing often

Secret in the sunlight

Meddling in the moonlight

Gawking into the souls of humanity

With no emotion

With no impression

No comprehension about who is judging them

About who is gazing

About who is exploring the aspects of each specific particle of their make-up

Who are we to judge when they have no soul

Who are we to judge when they provide us light, when there is none

Who are we to judge when they provide us ideas

Inventions

Creations

Abstract thoughts beyond the physical

And as we ponder into their dry souls

we stuff their particles with knowledge and intelligence

But we still haven’t reached the peak of exploration

And as much as we try to

As much as we struggle

We never will
