Months had passed, while it had been big news at first Shoe felt herself
and her name vanish from view. She of course had always felt that urge
to check her phone - happily charging it with her own electricity. With
that meant checking on those she had left back home, her eldest daughter
tasked with taking care of her youngest son back in her kingdom. Well
she did suppose it wasn't her kingdom anymore. As she watched her breath
escape her lips she shivered a little and turned the phone off sticking
it back in her pocket.
"That just goes to show how quickly people move on." She muttered as she shivered, her clothes were minimal. That being a tattered shirt at best with no sleeves. A pair of black shorts that would usually be used for sports. A pair of converse she had managed to snatch back at town - but scavenging seemed to be her way of life at the moment. It didn't help much it was getting so cold with how winter approached these lands. The strangely tinted green tree's swayed in the wind as Shoe heard a huff to her right. Her hazel eyes going to match the purple ones of Sonnie who had been resting aside her. He looked at her with concern, eyebrows furrowed as both his tails flicked against each other. "Just a little cold is all Sonnie." Shoe tried to reassure him. He stood to his feet, the large fluffy creature was massive. Not to mention impressive, his vibrant purple mane across his back drawing attention. His white hair over his face and fangs dropping from his maw. Lightly, purple electricity fell off of the strands of his fur. As the five foot tall jackal dog approached her he squished his cheek against hers and Shoe was felt with a warm sensation of extremely soft fur. Softer than any currently living animal could ever have. Carefully Sonnie curled himself around the girl. Setting his head on her knees as Shoe wanted to protest but too weak to do so as she leaned into his side. Curling her arms around herself. She buried her face into the nape of his purple mane feeling the soft purr emmited from deep into his chest as a method to comfort the weak girl now that the two of them had been separated. They were still inseperable but with it meant Shoe's body had grown weaker. Weak and immortal still, it felt like permanently dying in all honesty. "Karen is taking forever this time." Shoe whispered with a bit of concern as Sonnie nodded his head giving a gruff huff to confirm that this was true. Karen had recently been their travelling buddy. Meeting soon after Shoe had ran away from home practically Karen and Sonnie had taken care of her. This might have had to do with the information that Emil was dying in a sense. Shoe had her ways to figure these things out. Her heart was in turmoil and she had told Universe to leave her alone but she knew no doubt he was watching. Shoe just didn't have the guts to request he take away her immortality. Not that he would even consider - he liked her too much. Sonnie was soon nuzzling Shoe with his nose. She raised her head warily with tired eyes. Karen the short brown haired girl was making her way through the tree's to the small camp they had been at. She carried firewood - and a bag full of food and supplies. She must have found something to trade for this. Shoe smiled as Karen sat down and got straight onto starting a fire. "I'll get you some food soon, I also got some medicine be sure to take it this time. I know you threw out the last batch." Shoe rolled her eyes at Karen's remark as Sonnie soon pushed her in agreement to Karen. Shoe had been dying at least once a week whether it was from cold, or her weak condition acting up. The medicine kept her healthy and able to actually move, being so weak meant she most of the time rode on Sonnie's back. Both knew Shoe wasn't in the best of mentalities, but no matter how many times she died the damage they could never tell to her mind could be devastating. "Right. what did you get to eat?" Shoe asked then, not going to argue as she leaned forward since Sonnie let up off her when Karen started the fire. Karen's green eyes looked up to Shoe. "Got my hands on some pheasants so you get some meat. Also some peas and carrots so there's that." Karen pulled out a small bowl made of metal. She stuck the birds on some sticks and filled the bowl with water to cook the pea and carrots in. "Of course I couldn't afford any seasonings but it's the best we got." Shoe nodded her head as she crawled to be closer to the fire. Giving off a soft sigh. I don't want to be here anymore. © 2016 Centipedle
