The things that make me happy are pointless.
Society deemed them as such.
So everyone ignore it otherwise.

i think there is way more than meets the eye ...too complex for 4 lines ..the leap from enjoying frivolous things to the chains society places on individualism is huge ... but i have a sense that you, as artist, have gotten the gist of it off your mind ;)

It's more that society see's it that way. Watching your favorite television show does not put dinner on the table. Neither does drawing or writing as "real jobs" according to a lot of people.

This poem is more over the anxiety of getting really excited over something sharing it with someone you like and them rejecting you.
