Keen

Keen

A Poem by Neva Flores Smith - Changefulstorm
"

An older one of mine written in 20l0 poking fun at myself.......

"

There once was a poetess with a thesaurus

As big as the Adriatic Sea
She hunted down words in her book so absurd
Then tortured the world with these

She wrote lavish poems about simple drivel
Using words unknown to you and me
Inspissating her plots so we would think she was not
The hare-brain her friends knew her to be

A plethora of words she abused along with our minds
As she wrote of the redolent roses
Why could she not say how sweet they smelled
Before she beleaguered all of our noses

Now her poems are a panoply of quintessential bliss
If you have any idea what that means
I surely do not and have no intent of learning
So for now I will say she is keen

This is beautiful, as you are. Through the time of life and the experience, we shall die someday as wise as we can. And grateful. Your writing always inspires me sweet sister. As life is a learning process, in all ways. As long as you write out of your heart, it's most precious, than out of rules. (my opinion) I loved this. X

I love this! Basically because I have struggled with this very same issue, myself!

Neva, you need not poke fun at yourself but when you choose to do so you certainly do it with as much beauty as you posses. Made me smile to read this. Keen indeed Neva. Very well penned.

lol...umm..I can relate unfortunately. Writing is a struggle, especially in the beginning. We try too hard to be different and technical, and in doing this we lose our creative vision. But I believe you are comfortable with yourself now...and your vision is clear. :))

This is an amazing writing of fantasy and moreso, like a dream. I am captured by your use of words and I think I will read it again later because it is great. I would want to know what happen next.
