C'est La Vie

C'est La Vie

A Poem by Cherrie Palmer
"

as a rule I am a success in the kitchen, but every rule has its limits lol

"
dinner rolls
filled with yeast
was my goal
for tonight's feast
awe
but a dive
took they
so
now i see
 personal sized
pizza's
for you and me

c'est la vie

Lol yes, I don't like to say what's for dinner til dinner time
I love the very delicious twist and turn of your words. It takes a brilliant chef to transform one feast into another. Believe me; I watch Chopped. :)

What a pleasant short poem. It ticks off that part of the brain that brings simple pleasure akin to a shot of bourbon or a small pinch of tobacco. Enjoyable short moments in life that will be remembered for a long time. I liked it. CD

Lucky you.............
ahahahaha oh what a memory you sparked for me...barely married i attempted some healthy hippie grain filled bread ..i was so proud...the smell and consistency ..and when out of the oven ..three bricks is what i had ;{ i am not kidding...i think each loaf weighed in at 5 lbs. ..nice job ... your free verse has a certain stregnth in the rhyming ... and i think you lines are a natural, easy rhythm ..love the humor ;)

Personal pizza is good sometimes. When dinner rolls are retired. Some sauce, cheese and pepperoni. Thank you Cherrie for sharing the amazing words and thoughts.

That's life, some things work and some don't--no guarantees...
However, regroup and do something that does work.
Be the solution, not the problem.

An easy way to deal with life's curves.
:)
i relate not only to your writing, but to where you are from...one of my best friends was from Bull Shoals...she passed several years ago at a pretty young age...i also managed in a pizza place, where i had met her, for 27 years...
i'm hungry now.
