Every Word

A Poem by Cherrie Palmer

lies

Even in silence you are void of truth

words of trouble is all you give.

Lips in motion is all it takes for you to spread your lies

Never will you be charged with veracity of candor,

And still I hang on your every word.

Fabulous, fabulous short, spikey work. Unusual for Cherrie who normally write cheerful free flowing work. This hits you between the eyes. I hope the subject of this reads this and prepares for the inevitable moment when the hanging on words stops, swiftly and with no warning!

It's hard to shake someone who for whatever reason seems to have a grip of your conscious and unconscious mind. All we can do is hope we can break that pattern, cause you know they will not change theirs. Thanks for sharing.

the title and description drew me in; brilliant little power punch here

lies spread even in silence and sometimes its the lies we need to hear to keep us near....
