Heaven's Adornment

Heaven's Adornment

A Story by Cherrie Palmer

You can shop online or in a catalog look

A coin cannot buy heavens’ adornment

A tailor cannot weave such a fine garb

Nor a prince, with great wealth buy it

from afar.

It is a gift for the poor and a badge for the meek

It is a cloak that travels with the saints’ feet

It is love and joy stitched with peace.

The fit will be perfect, never will it bind

Age will add to its beauty and

hardships will give to it luster.

So if your soul feels a draft and your spirit

is in need of a cover look to the  Lord

and place an order for heaven’s adornment.
