Mirrors

Mirrors

A Poem by Frontier
"

This one is still in editing mode, just let me know your impressions.

"
Two mirrors facing each other: there is forever
what if she's
a shooting star
and it's all
she'd ever be

I could hurl the entire world
into the next ice age
Face to face
seems like
just another place
the morning light
poking fun through
the window

They say it's
rude to point
well it's about time
we start pointing
all our fingers
there are more of them
than people

Let's all start pointing our fingers,
because we've lost our voices
Once the storm has passed
the eye is left

"They say it's/ rude? i think you meant.

interesting piece...we do need to point fingers at ourselves, because how can we look into the mirror and live with ourselves for letting everything get so out of hand.

we do not speak out anymore...we did in the sixties..now everyone is too quiet...
to hell with rude, let's just do it.
let's get some movement...
perhaps we should hurl this world into the next ice age...
because we move like we are frozen in place.

Wow this is awesome and such a powerful meaning. I really enjoy all of your work but I thing this is one of my favorites...it does not whisper it screams and I love that about it. You have floored me with your message because you are so right. To hell with pleasantries it is time we started being honest. The flow of this poem is spot on and I especially love the first stanza. Over all this is just a great piece and I love it. Thank you for the great write!

And thank YOU for the wonderful review.
This is REALLY good. "Two mirrors facing each other, there is forever"...
I cannot get over that. Or the ending. Very powerful and totally cool

You are welcome to, thanks Sunya :)
I like the title of mirrors and, after reading your poem, think that what we give out is reflected back at us. To lose our voices is a dangerous thing but it's becoming a reality in society today. But then "freedom" is an illusion and the scariest thing of all is the apathy that nobody seems to care what's happening :( I loved this write. It's deep and full of meaning. Penny

Indeed, it's not a direct straight path. Thanks Penny.

Your voice shines through this piece. It's true people need to wake up and start doing something about the way things are. A great piece.

This is another great piece, the metaphors are clear and the language you used makes reading this a breeze, great job!
