Rain

Rain

A Poem by Dead Angel
"

I got inspired to write this when it was raining

"

I love the wetness in the air

As the wind blows

Through every strand of my hair

I sit under my garage roof

And watch the sun

Disappear... Poof!

My dad sits at my side

He puts a cap on my head

A smile I can't hide

We sit in silence as the rain comes down

My dad washed his truck yesterday

So he can't help but frown

We continue to watch the water

This is somewhat a tradition

Between father and daughter

This is simply sweet and I hope you share it with your father if you can.

Tells a story in a short amount of lines and puts the reader there in the moment. I could smell the wetness in the air, I wish I could have heard it... (an idea for next time). :)

Nice,
Stacy

How nice,
I use to love rainy days, going out feeling every drop on your head and body. Is like clensing your soul, washing away everything from your life and starting over again. How i miss those days, now i fell like if i was scare of the rain. I run when it rains, i hide from it. How sad, how much we change, and beging to hate those things we use to love. How i miss those days and wish i could live those days again..
Thanks for the request and keep them coming...
Hope to read some more in the future...
One!

This feels like home. I mean I'm comfortable with this one. A little humor and good visuals that set the mood did for me. This is a nice pleasant read.

Aw, this is sweet. Just the thing for me to read on a gloomy, snowy day. I think the bond between father and daughter is a lovely one :)

This is lovely. Those precious times we spend with our fathers are priceless. I remember the times my dad and I shared alone.
Keep doing the poems.

No worries about being away from writing a poem for a while. It's always better to take all of the time you need before writing one down. If you rushes any of them, the poems wouldn't come out that good at all. Believe me, I've learned that in the hard ways.

But, hey, this poem is really good. It may be very a simple reading, yet it's rather quite enjoyable to read. So, thank you for sharing it. That made me smile in some ways.

Keep up with the good work and just remember this; Take your time and you'll get better...
