Spiritual Angel!

To a special friend!!

Out of nowhere this friend did appear

Offered me his hand and love

And wiped away my tears

 

This angel found me when I was lost

Lent me an ear and a shoulder to cry on

He even warmed my heart from the bitter frost

 

Our thoughts are always in tune

A friend like him only comes

Once in a blue moon

 

Its deeper than a romance

We're just two souls

In a spiritual dance

 

He listens to me and I listen to him

We both have our problems

Our lives are just as grim

 

We give each other hugs and hold each others hands

We share so many interests and

Even like the same rock bands :)

 

This angel saved me from my perpetual night

He took my hand and guided me

To the eternal light

 

He's a world away but always close to my heart

He brought my life together

Just as it was falling apart!

This is the most inspirational poem to adapt to my own personal trials and tribulations, but with love, my love and I have persevered, and with each day that passes, I realize that neither of us have ever hurt each other, because the love between us was so grand, (and the both of us were so afraid of that, having found a TRUE love so magical, empowering, that with all the UNlove life before each other had given us, we simply didn't know what to do 'with it' or how to gently hold it in our hands)
but the tests of time and testament of love we have for each other has safely, tenderly brought it "home" where it forever and always resides in our hearts.
CLOSE; just like these beautiful words.
So, dear poet, how very well can you (magically) do that?
Make a reader feel close to you,
as if they have walked with you before,
or sat right beside you, invisibly, to somehow read these words before they were ever read?

I am grateful, so much so, to have found this poem on this site.
