Tidal Denial

Tidal Denial

A Poem by Cobblestone Traveler
"

A shorty. Setting yourself up for failure

"
Delirious, immersed in your work
Making the final touches to your sand castle
Turning a blind eye to the tide

Why did you think it could last?
The ocean will not allow it
Your dream has been denied

A certain sadness in this sticks with me, the disturbing lack of permanence that lies with the human condition I suppose... nonetheless, your use of oceanic imagery to convey this is incredibly effective.
