Dread In The Drive Thru

Dread In The Drive Thru

A Poem by Vertigo Cat1111

Assume and assassinate
I’ve got a bit much on my plate
Bubbles make me itch
I feel such dread in the drive thru
My eyes burn
Can hardly keep them open
I was never one for hope but
Here’s to hoping
That anytime, any day, in some way
I can stay open

Stop using your mouth like a door
People will like you more
I’m a jinx
Destroy me on the streets
I’m a jinx
How you made me bleed
I’m a jinx
Baggage with a brain
Heavier than you think

Definitely makes me think as I read this. The abstract patterns to your words and ideas is what I like the most. There is no between the lines, it is all out in front. Nicely done.

I am absolutely crazy about the whole second stanza.
Love the feel.
Great read.
