Three Boys

Three Boys

A Poem by CompellingComposer

You said that I revived you

And I thought that you were right

You said "It was you who saved me

And gave me sunshine in the night"

And you left me all alone

My heart torn and aching

And with soft, silent thuds

I realized it was actually breaking

Till another came around

With charm, grace, and called me "baby"

Though sometimes I doubted him

He still called my his "special lady"

Then, without warning

He turned around and made it end

Saying "I hope you aren't mad at me

And that I can still be your friend"

Finally, I have this one

And I pray that he will never

Break, bend, and twist my heart

Because I'm hoping for forever

Three boys, with one thing in common

I let them love me

The first two fled, reasons unknown

And hopefully, the last one, like them will not be
