My Desert Rose

My Desert Rose

A Poem by Corset

My Desert Rose
Her womb; an empty crypt
her desire and hope a dying bird
nodding on the limb
Tree leaves flickered with Autumn flame
twirled and danced as if on fire.
Her mind was a crystal salt of sand
blazing memories on the
shifting white dunes of Mexico
Panchos and black knee Sombrero
tasseled wool and twine
Lemon, cilantro, lime
Tequila!

A wonderful poem dear Corset. I liked how you used the description. You allowed the reader to see the images, you create. I loved the ending. Colorful and amazing words used my dear friend.

Trees flickered with Autumn flame.. is a perfect description… reminds me of a Persimmon Sunset. Your Pen is so Poetic… gently, Pat
