untitled

A Poem by Crystal Overmeyer-Birmingham
"

Friendship is the hardest to lose

"

There was no thunder that resounded on the walls

no showers that struck to our skin

no lighting that raised our hair

I would have rather go in the flash of storm

Than in the quiet of the calm

Nicely done, wanting to go out with a bang rather than a whimper

crystal, this is almost peerless, starting with the title. I have used untitled a few times and I believe it invites the reader to devise their own title after reading the piece. I love how you dismiss all things chaotic and give everyone the 'Relax' signal code. Powerful in such a short span?! Great stuff. take care...dan

It's better to fight what you want than to watch it go away. Powerful words Crystal... I enjoyed it :)

Nice work Crystal.. I can imagine you standing outside wishing for mother nature to reveal herself! I hope to find the time to read more :)

I would rather be a comet for a day than a star for eons...a tumbleweed and ride the desert winds than a desert rose....

About
I am a poet by nature. Words just speak to me and color my world. I away think of poetry as painting with phases, just as vibrant and life giving as they are messy and complex. more..
