The Secret Play

The Secret Play

A Poem by Shiningwolf

Sitting in the caves of your intent

Gathering up your armies

Setting up for your stage play

The one that attacks others

Stringing together your puppets

Pulling them at arms length

Keeping them in grasp

Manipulating their every move

Curtain call has come

Your players are on stage

Knowing their scripts well

They perform perfectly

You pick your targets

You aim your bow just right

The target is their emotions

And you take fire

The bow of lying

The bow of gossip

Hits its target

The prey becomes wounded

Cause insult to injury

Make them feel bad

Make people laugh at your play

Do you feel better now?

Because it's not funny

It's not mature

Show your real self

No more hiding behind your scene.

It's time to pack up your props

And end this play...

I know this play all to well.. I've met the master puppeteer.. Why people get off playing with other peoples lives and hearts is beyond me. This is a great write depicting those emotions well.. Love it..xx
