Cyclone

Cyclone

A Poem by DCT ponderings
"

There's no place like home

"

Beneath my feet the earth crumbled.

What once seemed so safe, so secure,

now echoes lonely.

Falling

                Drifting

                                Spinning

through the darkness of my mind.

I reach for the light

fading swiftly to black.

All the walls,

Reasons,

Securities

built up …………… drift  away.

Just as the ocean carries the sand

you carry my heart.

So be gentile,

Fragile I may not survive a collision

with the rocks.

Slowly…go slow

I tell myself

But I am falling

out of control into the unknown

“you can’t catch me,

You can’t catch me”

echoes through my head.

Perhaps that is it

You can’t catch me

I must learn to fly

Can you teach me?

To fly, I mean.

To set myself free to soar

as high as I can go.

Will you watch me?

Until I am a tiny speck.

So small it hurts to gaze any longer

Will you wait?

As I grow

Searching the world

for a place in which I belong.

Is it with you?

My life

The end of the struggle

The end of the journey

The answer to my questions.

Will you understand?

The reason why

Why I flew so high

so far

and for so long.

Will you love me when I return?

The journey may be long

The fall hard

The ocean loud

I must know

Is what I feel?

This crazy pain

insane pleasure

The endless need

Is it love?

And if so

  Do you feel it?
