We Are Humans Too

We Are Humans Too

A Poem by Tasha
"

We are currently reading Night in my English class, and this is what I got from it thus far.

"
" From now on you'll be known as: A-7713 "

The only way of of this  is death
either by the crematory, or running through barbed wire
life as we know it, has been completely stolen from us
no more hanging out with friends, or meeting new people
death is all we see...

We are humans too!
we have feelings...
and we should have rights,
no one should have to go through
this painful situation

All humans have rights, and you've taken ours away...
what does that make you?

Making us go through all this pain,
misery,
suffering,
and utter despair
is not cool,
it's humiliating...
trust me justice will be served...
and remember..
WE ARE HUMANS TOO!

His book told the truth. He lived his life to insure the people responsible were caught and paid the price for the killing of the innocence. Another book you may want to read is called "Painted Bird." By Kosinski. He was a Jew who lived four years roaming Poland during WW2. A powerful poem. I watched the movies about the death camps. I went to many Death Camps in Germany and Poland. You can still smell the burning hairs. I believe it would be impossible to express in words except for the poor men and woman who survived. You wrote a excellent poem. Made me think.

Innocence is lost within tandem dreams and slight of hand. Well done, great emotion and shocking imagery, well done.

This is so full of meaning. Reminds me of Martin Luther King Jr.'s speeches!

Grammer? I only caught 1 error, in the 1st sentence; "The only way of of this misery is death"; perhaps it should read: "The only way out of this"
Otherwise a very poignant write, well scripted with pen, hand and heart!
