Tattoo

A Poem by Tasha
"

First two lines from Jordan Sparks's song Tattoo.

"
"No matter what you say about love"
"You keep coming back for more,"
And you've got the marks to prove
You still want to be in love,
Each tattoo is a timeline of your past,
A pertinent   memory
That reminds you of how far you've come
In your life,
A symbol of who you are
Or who you use to be
A tattoo that holds the Key to
Love, joy and happiness

A very lovely write. You penned this well.

"No matter what you say about love"

"You keep coming back for more,"

And you've got the marks to prove

You still want to be in love,

What an excellent way to begin this poem. You nailed it.Excellent poem.

Each tattoo is a time line of your past,
A pertinent memory
That reminds you of how far you've come

Also being one who is marked I was never going to pass up a read like this and like Aidz, I don't see myself as scarred... I see my self as someone summed up by your words above...

Inking is a great commitment... you can decorate or you can scar (as the poem predicts, their memories are scars on their heart and now their body) .... I prefer to beautify myself with the loves of my life... my love of my life and my children all live outside of me as beautiful pictures on me....;-)

As one who is Tattoo'd I had to read it didnt I ;)

Yes each Tattoo is a timeline and a memory etched in skin.. not a scar as someone commented below (sorry bud but its not) each is a piece of art worn proudly

Well done
