We need a revolution

We need a revolution

A Poem by Darryl Piercy
"

Where we may be headed

"
We need a revolution

We need a revolution
At least that’s what I hear
Just cant let it be the one
Led by those who are preaching fear.

We need to change to a more peaceful world
With love as our only goal
A revolution for a better time
And compassion from our souls

Put down your tired ideas
Like bigotry and hate
If we don’t address this issue soon
It’s gonna be to late

The sides they are a lining up
In the streets and in the halls
We are teaching hate in Sunday school
With killings in our shopping malls.

We can pass the laws to end the guns
But things they will not change
Until we change those who hate
Whose lives are filled with rage

We haven’t lost our country yet
But the day is not too far
When so-called patriots and their guns will rule
Holding court within their redneck bars.

Wisdom in these words.
There needs to be huge changes made in order
to be the peaceful society "we all" deserve,
Thanks for sharing and b-blessed!
