Violet Eyes

Violet Eyes

A Poem by Deandra Dawn

Violet Eyes

Violet eyes
metallic
forthcoming, yet resistant
 All innocence failing with
specks of indecency upon
tears of turbulence,
swimming in decay with
intelligent tidings
of misdirected
wrongdoing
Violet eyes
bathing in light
brimming with hope
a vibrant exaltation
of pure emotion
still shining, untouched
Violet eyes and their
metallic fixation
now shadowed by fear
Violet eyes
under new disguise

"Violet eyes and their
metallic fixation" ~ Metal has an element of change, when in its chemical form, it can be malleable... flexible... a conductor of heat and electricity can change its course. Violet eyes are rare and beautiful... These Violet eyes are Mysterious and alluring... Nicely Done! I see this evolving into something Great. :)

A work in progress..really?? This is wonderful. I love the way you used metallic in this poem. That word just brings a strength with it yet metal bends and strains much like we do every day. Great imagery.

Beautifully written and the form just flows with a beat and rhythm to the words. Ever changing emotions fill this piece ..lust, innocence hope, decadence all of it weaved together in such raw emotions

When reading this, or damn near anything. My first thought is 'what song would this go with?' In your case, THE ROLLING STONES.

I Love your word choice and metaphors in your poem...Lovely.

Its funny how our emotions runs the pendulum, one minute we can be overly confident, and the next minute, fear can run anxiety to our psyche. Life simply can make us weary.

Thank you for sharing, Deandra.

Amazing poem with an excellent flow, I loved every word and image that comes from this. Violet eyes are very intriguing indeed, though rare. Very well written, keep it up.
