Misfortune

Misfortune

A Poem by Deandra Dawn

Misfortune

Billows of sensations
in a seething sea of
communal misgivings
a brief and inane moment
to degrade and defy
the water's commotion
an indistinct yet
infectious configuration
as a veiled felon
in the nighttide
filching your breath away
droplet by droplet
satiating your lungs
while crashing upon
the jagged rocks of
your hollow misfortune

Point break is a suffocation, sometimes it is best to let go then start
over versus suffering in the thought of a misfortune or unlucky event,
something like a ship that continually beats against the rocks until
each fragment is torn away, and taken by the current of an emotion.
I rather enjoy the moonlit craft and the ocean captured like a breath,
that of fleeting sustenance. Beautifully written my friend ^_^

The misfortune of suffocation is described beautifully, here -- the rich level of emotions as defined, by this gorgeous rendition; is nothing short of raw and beautiful, in all its sadness and ugliness! Definitely a favourite!!

I like the change of perspective of a tumultuous surf. Great imagery.

The flow of this piece was like waves on a stormy sea. Combined with word choice it carried me away till I felt as though I would crash upon the jagged rocks myself. Beautifully composed in every way.

This made me think of William Wordsworth, the flow, the thunderous emotions, it really brings me to mind of a great old Aussie actor named Leo McKern, standing the cliffs of Dover.

Brilliant, beautiful and always loving
