Death

Death

A Chapter by Almost Alive
"

Eleventh lyric

"

Every second split in halves
By the angel of life's scythe
How can we cry for the lost time
When we have it right in our hands

When we remember those days
When we used to be free and numb
When we were all together begging for a shorter life
You can ignore my words but do realize
Later will be too late for me

Every second of our short lives
Even if they're just like shadows passing by
You should look out for those who are around you
Tomorrow it could be an angel the one to kiss their faces

Or the ground itself
Locked out in nothing but a memory
Or everyone else's tears
But nothing you can do will bring us back

One day you might not wake up
Or the next day you might not open your eyes
But they won't be there by your side
And you finally realize
That in the end, it wasn't worth a fight

Every second of our short lives
Even if they're just like shadows in a memory
You should look out for those who are around you
Tomorrow it could be an angel the one to kiss their faces

Every second of our short lives
Even if they're just like shadows hanging from a wall
You should look out for those who are around you
Tomorrow it could be an angel the one to kiss their faces

Every second split in halves
By the angel of life's scythe
Or is it death perhaps?
Or is it death perhaps?

Because I am awaiting the day
That you won't be coming back
