Shakesperian sonnet

Shakesperian sonnet

A Poem by De Jongh1994
"

Written as an assignment for English.

"
It takes so much for you and I to see.
It does not matter what you have to show.
Even if you had tried you could not be.
The fabric of life is what you must sew.
Every time you speak of what you may need.
With the lack of haste and control of time.
Your thoughts are shadowed by your endless greed.
Voices fade and you cannot pantomime.
The shallow grave has already been dug.
There is no need to play this silly game.
The web is spun there is no need to tug.
Deceit and lies will never bring you fame.
The sun will gaze upon you and not shine.
The world you leave behind will soon be mine.

Maybe I'm just in a very unfocused state of mind but this changes every single time I read it. I pick up different words and meanings and feelings. For that reason I rather love it.
