A stranger rode into town

A stranger rode into town

A Poem by Omri F.K

One night I saw an odd stranger riding into town

his dusty looks and ragged boots almost made me frown

the moon was full that night & many stars were shining true

and he looked at me and smiled "A wicked eveing to me & you"

I didn't even smile back, only took out my trust gun

His smile only grow wider "It seems we shall have some fun"

he quickly ducked and rolled, a gun flashed in his hand

the bullets started dropping, like rain upon the land

The blazing of the gun burned bright against the night

and both the haven and earth stood still to see us fight

we each ducked and turned, dodging bullets as we ran

we each reloaded our gun and stood man against man

And all that time we didn't notice, we didn't even see him there

the devil stood silent, watching and grinning without care

his eyes were red and bloodshot, his horns were clack as coal

his clothes were dark, and he watched the strangers dual

I killed that man the same night, and buried him under the dirt

his crimes will be paid for, he will be judged by the one true court

On that very dawn, under the great and bright skies

I shot the devil my final bullet, to pay him for the lies
