Heart broken

Heart broken

A Poem by Moonflower

I believed you because

it was beautiful

And I needed something sacred

to hold near.

...Don't flutter your wings, preparing to fly away...

I still need you here, please stay.

Oh how you have captured so well the helplessness and yearning that love instills in us.I simply loved it when you said i needed something sacred to hold near. With the last line you said it all so simple yet with such palpable sadness and longing. How we want to say it all and don't mind being vulnerable yet want to save some last shreds of pride.

the imagery pushes itself so deep into the reader's mind with the delicacy applied to this moving piece~

I adore the imagery here1
A clash of longing, hoping and the butterfly, perfect!

I can totally feel this. "I needed something sacred." Nice choice of words, that very well expresses what I feel right now. Thank you.
