Torn Suit

 

Man in the business suit

So clean cut

Dark black jacket

Crisp white shirt

Dark black pants

Polished slim black dress shoes

 

Freshly shaven

Hair gelled back

Not one strand out of place

Dark eyes heavily lashed

A serious look masking every emotion

 

I wonder

How long would it take

For me to make you lose control

Break out of that persona

Give into the wild and restless lion

Right underneath the surface

 

I see by the way you look at me

You want so badly to claw out

Break out of that cage

And just pounce me

 

How much of an effort

On my part

Would it take for you to shed that black jacket

Tear off that white shirt

Have the buttons pop out

Scattering the ground

Shove down those black pants

Jump out of those polished shoes

And come at me

 

Would it take a smile

Maybe a wink

Or a look

Maybe a few words

A sashay of my hips

Coaxing you forward with my index finger

 

Or maybe it wouldn’t take a thing

 

I see you boiling underneath that costume

Like a volcano right about to erupt

The smoke reaching out of the surface

The lava starting to climb down the hill

 

I see it

I see that look in your eyes

When they get two times darker

Than their normal darkness

 

Ah, such a dark and handsome businessman

Come down from your golden chair

Break out of that cage

And let me hear you roar 

Author's Note

I got the idea for this poem when I was on the bus coming home from school, I saw a dark, handsome young man on the phone, in a suit. He looked so constricted, I got the urge to rip it off to relieve himself of those rough looking clothes.

and WALA! A poem came of it!
