Today we shall not lie

Often we end up hiding to save relationships, but sometimes you ought to tell the other person what you really think and this a poem potraying the same.

Today we shall not lie

You speak your truth

and I speak mine

No! You cannot cry

Tell me..

Of The times you’ve gobbled up your fears

Pass me that pillow, wet with tears

You won’t?

Then,

I shall steal that rouge,

With which you camouflaged your bruise

Break that pencil with which you stroked kohl

beneath your eyes and 
draped  in a guise

like everything was happy and nice

Today we shall not lie

You speak your truth

and I speak mine

And, give me that wet pillow of yours

I can’t promise to erase those memories

But fill your life with happy stories
