Lies

Lies

A Poem by Jordan Cattell

People don't seem to realise,

The effects of their lies.

They lay in your mouth,

Sitting on your tongue,

Staring at you like a barrel of a gun.

They spin them in a web,

And people get hurt,

You try to be alert,

Alert, to stop getting hurt.

Little white lies add up,

Like water overflowing from a cup.

The world is like a ball of lies,

Within it, everyone cries.

This poem speaks the truth about lies.
A plain truth everyone should realize.
The last two lines finished it off skillfully.
