Life of ParadiseA Poem by Jordan CattellFull of golden sand, Quite an empty land. Only a few huts, Made of straw and wood.
The birds flying overhead, The old man asleep in his bed. Only the sound of waves is there, Everybody lives without a care.
The children come out and begin to play, The sun heating the bright day. The old man who used to teach, Has now retired to his beach.
I hope to retire to this land one day, The roof over my head will be made of hay. One day I might be able to lay, Just like the old man. © 2008 Jordan Cattell |
