That Secret Place

That Secret Place

A Poem by The Ugly Rose

We can go to that secret place

Where our wings help us soar.

The wind blows us off course

So we follow the Fates

Where our never ending love

Sends flowers through the air

Perfume engulfs us

In its heavenly scent.

Crystal waters splash

As we frolick with freedom

Freedom that wraps its silk arms

So tight around us

Creating the perfect dream.

Rolling hills of grass

Waiting for us to sleep

In the delicious warmth

Of the Great Orb

We were sisters

Inseperable

Now our secret place is grey and cold

Seperated from us

Waiting.

I will one day return

To reclaim it from the darkness

Will you fight with me?

Will you stand at my back

fighting for our freedom?

Or will it remain dark?

You may let it die

But I will die with it

As I fight to keep our secret alive.

I'm really liking this poem... Something about its sweet, feminine charm.
