Midnight Blue

Midnight Blue

A Poem by Dreambound

Midnight Gazes,
This cold winters night,
Feel the cold embrace.

Standing on the edge, is
He could see the longing In her eyes, scanning the sky like searchlights.
To be understood, to be loved, to feel something real.

Revealed,
Revealed in the glimmer when her eyes locked, set against the back drop of darkness.

Noticed,
He saw it when she gave away parts of herself, in trepidation, trusting, knowing.

Unmatched,
She was unmatched in his eyes, so scan the sky a little longer, no searchlights are needed now.

Looking on,
She saw the stars shine for what they are.
