Like Zombies we fall

Like Zombies we fall

A Poem by Mak(ayla:)

All of us walk to the great grand clock
In the middle of town.
Like zombies, we drop what we do
And walk the same route we do everyday.

Mothers and daughters
Fathers and sons
family members galore
Friends and foes
Young lovers
and car crash hearts
will all walk
Side by side

In an endless gaze
we stare at the clock.
Watching each hand go,
"Tick....tock..."
Everyone's here,
all ready to listen.
To treasure each moment
Each minute that passes.

They start to feel faint
As if they've lost their knees.
They all start to fall
Like domino they go.

The Grandfather clock strikes noon,
"DONG!!!"
The resting heap of zombies.
All resting for eternity.

Nice poem
I struggled at trying to rhyme "Tick....tock...", but "DONG!!!"

I think its a pretty great poem for coming out of nowhere :) I like that I don't know exactly what it means but I know sometimes I feel like a zombie just going through the motions of life.
