Do you feel it,
the burning that I feel?
It reads "lie"
for all the dishonesty
and lack of trust.
Exhilarating,
but not nearly as much
as what you gave me.
It will never replace
the burning;
the burning of your eyes.
Nor the ghost of them.
It's haunting.
Lie,
embedded in my mind.
Don't you dare forget
the words I never said,
never leaving the tip of my tongue,
but you knew.
And even when I lie,
you're just left to wonder,
because you know it isn't the truth.
I can't lie to you anymore,
nor explain,
nor tell you the words
on the tip of my tongue.
And even if I was gone,
you'd still think I was here.
But did you know that I live in your name?

Reviews

lyrical
vivid
very imaginary

"Don't you dare forget
The words I never said,
Never leaving the tip of my tounge.
But you knew."

simply brilliant

"And even when I lie,
You're just left to wonder,
Because you know it isn't the truth."

again very very nice.

keep on writing and expressing yourself.
