Girls will be girls

Girls will be girls

A Poem by EG
"

How do we measure the physical and emotional pains of growing up? There is no comparison, when bruises heal but heartache doesn't.

"
Everyone says boys will be boys,
but I've never heard any noise
saying girls will be girls,
while isolation whirls
Sticks and stones do hurt.
This pen on my shirt?
It won't wash out,
but there's no doubt,
words are worse.
An unspent curse.
I feel so alone,
but that's not unknown.

As I'm a girl

and girls will be girls...

This poem speaks a lot of truth. I can sense the critical mind of the writer in this piece. While at the same time it is also written from the heart. There is strong choice of words through out. I can tell that you're very straight to the point. This poem is like an entrance to your mind. Such talent. I admire it!
