Lost At Sea

Lost At Sea

A Poem by EG

I fear that I may be lost at sea.

But there's no way that you could find me.

The cold crashing waves and salty spray.

I have been dragged too far from the bay.

Ships may circle, try to intercept.

But I've already sank into the depths.

Riptides swirl while seaweeds bind my limbs.

Lungs on fire, I've no fight left to swim.

But I'm right here, you're talking to me?

Ah,

It seems my soul is what's lost at sea.

Lovely--Lost at sea grabs you right away.

Lost at sea is a beautiful metaphor for life's struggles. I like your hopeful ending: "But I'm right here, you're talking to me?" Sounds like a spiritual experience.

Ah the sea often has its grip on me. There is just a perfect beauty of nature within its blue depths that captures imagination. It is not to difficult to be lost in it. Thank you for sharing this nicely written poem EG.
