Til Death Do Us Part, Apparently

Til Death Do Us Part, Apparently

A Poem by Ebits
"

The desperation of love in an abusive relationship.

"
I'm crying cuz you're angry, while I'm standing in the rain.
(You slammed the door that special way, it always sounds the same.)
Whenever you hang up on me, or turn and walk away,
my eyes are closed, my heartbeat slows;
I can't heart what you say.
Your voice is filled with hatred every time I draw too near;
conclusions and suspicions, you're never thinking clear.
Every word you scream at me, it stabs me through the heart,
yet all this time I stay with you.
I used to be so smart.
All the blows, I let them go, and still call you my lover.
This love is digging me a grave, and soon it will be over.
