Don't Go.

Don't Go.

A Poem by Eliot Knight
"

Feels a little incomplete to me but it's how it came out.

"

‘Where are you going?’

‘Away.’

‘Why?’

‘Because I must.’

‘Where will you go?’

‘Far away.’

‘You mean from me?’

‘From myself.’

‘And me.’

‘And you.’

‘Don’t go.’

‘Don’t go?’

‘Don’t go.’

‘You don’t mean that.’

‘No, but stay anyway.’

‘Why?’

‘You want this of me.’

‘I do.’

‘So, stay.’

There wasn’t much she could say after- not that there wasn’t more to be said. Actions speak louder than words but it’s silence that echoes through reminiscence.

thanks, I'm glad you liked it.
Hard to stop a escaping person.
" ‘From myself.’
‘And me.’
‘And you.’"
I liked the flow of thoughts. You left the reader with a escape and a final goodbye. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

You are welcome.
Interesting concept, the conversation not being had has more impact on the reader as we fill in our own innuendos for both what is and isn't said. Someone base may find it smutty while someone refine it may be romantic, make one wonder if you are a student of phycology :~)
Well done I like it Clap! Clap! Clap!
