EDUCATION

EDUCATION

A Poem by Ellen Hammond

  EDUCATION

More education is the nation's cry
You always need more knowledge and more facts
So you can afford a life worth living
Precise wisdom is what this theory lacks

Riches alone will never fulfill you
The best books of knowledge are incomplete
Rewarding life and genuine treasures
Will never corrode nor grow obsolete

Life, itself, teaches the greatest lessons
With the wisdom that our Lord imparts
We gain more than earthly perceptions
When true reason and love engulf our hearts

As we humble ourselves before our Lord
Patiently listening for His Spirit's voice
Things which may have hurt and confused us
Become actual reasons to rejoice

You may ascertain much earthly knowledge
From leading universities and schools
But those who fail to seek God's wisdom
Are merely self-deceived educated fools

and trust me Ellen, there are plenty of such kinds all around us...they mock those who believe in God...I really pity them...
"forgive them LORD for they don't know what they are doing"...i don't remember where i read this but this makes so much sense to me...!!

How true this poem is...lots of people want earthly knowlegde and think that thats the only thing there is...but really it is useless to us...we should look to the one that created all...and learn lessons he is teaching us threw the bible...for really thats the only knowlegde we need to know to get by...i really like this poem :)

What good is an education if we lack the ability to discern and use it to give credit to our Creator?
It is so sad that some have degree, after degree, yet lack common sense and spiritual sense!
Well written and expressed as always!
With Blessings and friendship,
Sheila

You are so right my friend, the majority are so far from God, the wisdom from GOD doesn't feel their pockets. Money is the true evil, Lies and deceit follows. I reviewed a beautiful poem today for a 15 year old, so beautiful. I have many young friends, teens they are. I'll check for the poem and have you review it. Reviewing their poems, including Our Lord, may be of some help for some misguided and troubled teens. Thank you my friend for sharing your awesome poem with me. God Bless you.
In friendship
Hugs....Annie
