You Left Us Alone

You Left Us Alone

A Poem by Elle

"
You left us alone
Endless nights spent awake
Sitting, lonely by the phone
We knew everything you said was fake.

Your heart is cold
Our embraces were warm
I have to say what you did was awfully bold
Since you to me had always been sworn

So the kids and I are gone.
Say goodbye to what you had
You know what dear,
You weren't always this bad.

This life's over for you.
I'm tired of being your number two.
