A rose is not just a roseA Poem by EmpressPoetessBeauty is in the eyes of the beholder
Previous Version This is a previous version of A rose is not just a rose. You picked me as the best to satisfy you You placed me in your private chamber With great care, you nourished my soul And shined the warmest sun down on me And feed me the finest food and purest water Your tenderness and care gave me strength To grow, to blossom and bloom Now you can enjoy my beautiful perfection My beauty gives you delight day after day Pride swells in you when others stare in awe I live to hear your voice’s gentle whispers To feel your hands as you softly caress My young , slim limbs as I reach out I wait anxiously for your fingers to stroke My tender petals, each one a joy to you You delight in my sweet aroma So I am devoted, solidly grounded To give you this pleasure, each And every day, of spring and summer In the winter's cold, you let me slumber
